From September 2 to 4, 2022, 200 young leaders from various regions of Burkina Faso and the diaspora gathered to discuss under the theme “Digital Innovation, Peace, and Development: Youth Leading the Way”. The event featured a series of panels, training sessions, experience sharing, and a B to B networking session. Sampawende Tapsoba, Patron of the 5th Edition of the Young Leaders for Development Conference (YLDC) 2022, emphasized the crucial role of youth in driving digital innovation and fostering peace and development.
During the conference, various sessions provided insights into how digital tools can be leveraged to promote peacebuilding and sustainable development. Panels included discussions on the impact of digital innovation on economic growth, strategies for utilizing technology in conflict resolution, and the importance of digital literacy for empowering young leaders.
The training sessions equipped participants with practical skills in digital tools and platforms, enhancing their ability to lead and innovate in their respective fields. The B to B networking session was a highlight, offering a platform for participants to connect with potential partners, investors, and mentors. This session aimed to create synergies that would support the implementation of innovative projects and initiatives led by young leaders.
