I have accumulated over 15 years of experience in renowned public and private institutions and academia. My expertise lies in market intelligence and public policies.
I am the Deputy Chief Economist and Director of Data Management at Afreximbank Group since January 2024, after 15 years of public policy advisory services with top-rated national and international organizations. As the Deputy Chief Economist, I deputize for the Chief Economist in managing the Research Division. In addition, I lead the Data Management and Model Development Department.
Before my role at AfreximBank Group, I served as the IMF’s (International Monetary Fund) resident representative in Togo. In my role as a Senior Economist, I worked on diverse countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa, including Germany, China, India, Singapore, Nigeria, Panama, the Maldives, Algeria, the DRC, Madagascar, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic, Rwanda, and Malawi.
Before joining IMF, I held several key roles, including Deputy Head of the Aid Unit at the French Treasury, Economist at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Economist at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Economist at the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), and Assistant Professor at the Clermont School of Economics.
I am currently a Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development (FERDI), a leading think tank on development issues. My research interests include international finance, inclusive growth, and regional integration. I have published over 30 articles in leading journals, each contributing significantly to the global understanding of complex economic issues. I hold a PhD in international economics, with a dissertation focusing on African monetary integration and structural changes, which received the Best PhD award from the Clermont School of Economics (University of Auvergne). This research has deepened the understanding of complex issues and influenced African economic policies. Furthermore, I hold degrees in international economics, development economics, project management, and banking activities from the University of Auvergne in France and the Training Center of the Banking Association in Togo.
I strongly believe that every person should have equal economic, political, and social rights and fair opportunities. My unwavering mission is to passionately advocate for and promote social justice. I am deeply involved in social initiatives in Burkina Faso, actively supporting local community development and empowering the youth.
